Location ProfileWe are a new school that opened in January 2024 Serving the needs of families in Wyndham and Werribee. Year 7 students in 2024 with Year 8 commencing in 2025. The successful candidate for this position will receive a $5000 incentive payment, split over two special payments of $2500 (pre-tax). One payment will be made at the commencement of March 2025 and the second payment will be made in October 2025.
Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College is located in the Harpley Estate in Frome Cr, Werribee, which is 31km west of the Melbourne CBD. We commenced this year with 176 Year 7 students and we will be adding a new year level each year until we cater for students in Year 7-12. We anticipate a peak enrolment of 1200 - 1400 students at our College.

The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
As the classroom teacher gains experience, their contribution to the school program beyond the classroom increases. All classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to their rostered teaching duties.
ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
