The Department of Health is seeking interest for a fixed-term full-time PHS Policy and Project Support Officer to join the Community Mental Health & Wellbeing team in Hobart.
The Role: The Strategic and Business Support unit provides whole-of-Public Health Services corporate, business, administrative, strategy, and governance support.
The Policy and Project Support Officer will report through the Strategy and Governance stream and contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the unit through high-level policy and project support.
This includes supporting Public Health Services incident and emergency management planning and response activities.
The officer will also contribute to the implementation of the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements recommendations related to Health and Air Quality.
You will need: Demonstrated experience in providing specialist advice and analysis in project-related work, along with expertise and understanding of project management principles.Capacity to use initiative and judgement, applying sound strategic, analytical, and creative skills to undertake research, interpret data, provide options and recommendations, and decide on appropriate courses of action that may impact service delivery objectives.Proven experience in the production and preparation of high-quality documentation and reports in various communication formats for diverse audiences, and experience in developing and implementing complex policies, procedures, guidelines, project plans, briefings, and workflows.Details of appointment: Fixed-term full-time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight (negotiable), commencing as soon as possible for a 12-month period.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
