Join our dynamic team as aPHP Developerresponsible for enhancing our global database inventory tool, an essential in-house development within our organization. As part of the dedicated POD, you'll ensure comprehensive and accurate listings of all global databases, crucial for maintaining various controls within the organization. Operating with a MSSQL back-end database and web service, your role will involve collaboration with team members spanning across the UK, Poland, and India, serving internal users worldwide.
Your Responsibilities: In this role, your primary focus will be on enhancing the existing Database Inventory tool to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will:
Gain insight into the current application design and implement automation for common or complex tasks to streamline processes.Develop solutions aligned with customer requirements.Create monitoring reports and dashboards to enhance service observability.Provide support to users, offering guidance on best practices and technical inquiries.Collaborate with the existing team, fostering knowledge sharing and support.Undertake administrative tasks related to workload management, change management processes, and interaction with other teams. Your Expertise: To excel in this role, you should possess:
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages, especially PHP.Experience with version control systems like Git and GitHub.Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins.Exposure to Agile methodologies.Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and senior management.Additional advantages include:
Previous experience with application design simplification.Understanding of API consumption in solution development.Familiarity with database technologies like MSSQL.Occasional availability during UK business hours (10-18 Polish Time) may be required to support global operations. This role is open in Cracow, Poland in hybrid model - 1 day in the office, 4 days remote per week.
