The Examiner, servicing Launceston and Northern Tasmania, seeks a talented and enthusiastic photographer to join its daily news team. The Examiner appears in print seven days a week and has a growing audience of digital subscribers who demand quality daily.Photography is a celebrated part of our offering, so this is an exciting opportunity to join our hard-working, creative team.Key responsibilities of this role include: Taking, editing and submitting high-quality photos and videos from multiple assignments each dayGeneration of ideas that can lead to strong photos and story leadsRepresenting The Examiner at public events with the highest level of professionalismWorking to direction from various members of the editorial teamYou should have: Technical skill and creativity through a diverse portfolioAbility to work quickly under pressure and without supervisionAbility to file remotely and familiarity with significant photo editing softwareNegotiation skills and ability to work with a wide variety of peopleSkills in all aspects of editorial photography, from sport to natural disasters through to studio portraitsMust have a driver's licence and clean driving record.This role is for an enthusiastic storyteller eager to share their skills and passion with our audiences and keen to learn.
