The Role – Philanthropy Manager
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Philanthropy Manager will focus on nurturing existing donor relationships and securing new major gifts, trusts and foundations.
The individual in this role will play a pivotal part in managing an individual portfolio alongside a team, driving fundraising efforts, and ensuring supporters are deeply engaged in the mission.
The successful candidate will work alongside a collaborative team of Philanthropy and Partnerships Managers, each contributing to an ambitious growth strategy.
The role will involve the development and management of a donor portfolio including qualification, engagement, and solicitation of high-value gifts.
Key Responsibilities Include: Managing and growing a portfolio with a focus on major gifts, grants, and foundations (70%)Actively qualifying prospects to identify and engage new high-value donors (10%)Developing and maintaining a moves management and engagement plan for all donors in portfolio (10%)Collaborating with internal teams, including the Data and Donor Services teams, to ensure administration, donor engagement and stewardship activities are on track (5%)Contributing to the development of strategies for donor retention, ensuring a focus on long-term relationships and multi-year giving (5%) Who They Are Looking For: A Skilled Relationship Builder: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with high-level donors, partners, and stakeholders.A Strategic Thinker: The role requires someone who understands how to leverage donor data and insights to maximise the potential of a portfolio.A Problem Solver: The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challenges and be keen to find innovative ways to grow and retain donor support.A Team Player: The individual should thrive in a collaborative environment and be driven by a shared mission to make an impact, but is also self-motivated and can work independently.Aligned to the Organisation's Values: The role requires someone passionate about social justice and committed to making a difference in the homelessness sector.Required Skills & Experience: Experience in major gifts, philanthropy, or fundraising, ideally within the nonprofit sector.Proven ability to manage a donor portfolio, including securing and stewarding major gifts.Strong relationship management and communication skills.Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Comfortable working with CRM systems (preferably Dynamics) and other fundraising tools.Why Join the Organisation?
