PhD Student Scholarship – Fostering Empowerment through Social MediaPhD Student Scholarship – 'Fostering empowerment through social media' based at the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, Bond University.About the ScholarshipThe Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare is calling for expressions of interest from health graduates wishing to complete a PhD exploring links between social media and health. A full-time scholarship will be offered to a suitable candidate upon successful enrolment in a Doctor of Philosophy at Bond University. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside highly respected senior academics conducting leading-edge research.About the personSelection Criteria include the following:EssentialBachelor degree in health-related area.Excellent analysis and writing skills.Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team.Evidence of research project experience and organisational skills, including the ability to achieve goals and deliver outcomes within a specified time period.DesirableDemonstrated interest in the research area.Experience undertaking a substantial research project (e.g. Masters or Honours Thesis).Publication in a peer-reviewed journal.Experience presenting a research study.Capacity to seek external funding with support from supervisors.The successful applicant will need to meet all Bond University requirements for entry into the PhD program and achieve the program milestones required by the University Program. Entry Requirements.It is also a requirement that the successful applicant be based full-time at the Gold Coast campus.Salary detailsThe successful applicant will be entitled to the following benefits:Tuition fee waiver: The 100% tuition waiver will exempt the successful applicant from tuition fees for a maximum period of four years full-time equivalent.Stipend: A living stipend at a flat rate of $42,440 per annum for a maximum period of three years for full-time study.Employment opportunities: The successful applicant may be provided with research assistant work within the Institute for Evidence Based Healthcare.
