Casual (weekends and weekdays) Multiple positions available About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for several pharmacy students to join the team at Grampian's Health Ballarat on a casual basis to provide pharmaceutical care for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
Work as part of a collaborative team in a supportive and friendly environment while providing patient-centred care Participate in the rotating weekend student roster, with the opportunity to also work on weekdays.
Great opportunity for pharmacy students to develop their hospital skills and get an edge in helping to build a portfolio for a career in hospital pharmacy Receive on-site training for a sufficient length of time before undertaking weekend shifts Key Responsibilities A pharmacy student will perform activity including, but not limited to; Dispensary related assistance and activities including dispensing, processing requisitions and managing phone enquiries Distribution of stock to ward areas Other technical duties to assist in the day-to-day functioning of the pharmacy department The possibility of manufacturing of extemporaneous products Participation in the weekend casual student roster Participation in continuous improvement activities as directed by senior pharmacists Skills and experience Must be a student studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree/equivalent from a recognised university Student must be registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible to be registered with AHPRA to apply Demonstrated effective communication, good teamwork and interpersonal skills Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt constructively within a busy and dynamic working environment To see a full copy of the Position Description please click here Interested?
