This is through our steadfast commitment to providing patient and family-centred care at every level of our service and our continuous drive for service and operational excellence.Children's Health Queensland is a specialist statewide hospital and health service dedicated to caring for children and young people from across Queensland and northern New South Wales.We are committed to collaborating with all of our healthcare partners, most importantly families, to ensure we consistently deliver safe, high-quality patient and family-centred care.A recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, education and research, Children's Health Queensland delivers a full range of clinical services, tertiary level care and health promotion programs.Position OverviewThe position of Pharmacist (Residency Training) will:Provide quality pharmacy services on a rotational basis to multiple Pharmacy work units and Multidisciplinary teams throughout Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and to customers of Queensland Health in accordance with our organisational goals.Participate in a structured, formalised, supported and accredited training program for a temporary fixed term period of up to 2 years. There is no permanent employment associated with this engagement at the conclusion of the training program.Complete the mandatory requirements of the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Training Program (resident or registrar) with support from the pharmacy department.Demonstrate advancement through a portfolio of practice-based experiential training, acknowledging the practice-based format of the training programs.Resident Training ProgramThis two-year professional development program provides:Practice-based experiential training targeted at early career pharmacists, or pharmacists entering hospital pharmacy practice via other pharmacy environments.An important springboard to other professional development pathways, such as the Registrar Training Program or further recognition through ANZCAP.Ideal CandidatesThe Resident Training Program is ideal for:Recently registered hospital trained pharmacists (maximum 3 years post intern year).Intern pharmacists who are close to completing the intern training year (in hospital or non-hospital settings).Registered pharmacists without previous hospital pharmacist experience.What CHQ HHS can offerApart from contributing to the development of Australia's best paediatric health service, you will also benefit from a competitive remuneration package and a working environment which embraces professional development, builds capabilities, and supports staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
