The Department of Health (DoH) is seeking Pharmacists to join our teams located across the State including at the Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital.
The Pharmacist Employment Campaign is established to provide the Department of Health with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are able to work at short notice.

Details of Appointment: Permanent full or part-time shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours.
The Role: In this role, you will be required to work as part of the relevant Hospital's Pharmacy Department and Hospital's Pharmacy Team to provide a comprehensive, efficient, and accountable pharmacy service for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
Key to being successful in this role will be your pharmacy experience in a range of activities such as dispensing or clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting, together with experience in the application of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines in the practice of pharmacy.

The Department: Statewide Hospital Pharmacy, led by Executive Director Tom Simpson, provides hospital pharmacy services to patients of Tasmania's acute public hospitals through on-site pharmacy departments and a remote service to the district hospitals.
Services include clinical and specialist pharmacy services, dispensing medications, on-site doses of chemotherapy, involvement in local national and international clinical trials, and specialist support services including the telehealth-based Remote Clinical Pharmacy service.
Current roles are available in all our acute and subacute hospitals.
Specifically, these include the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital.
Please note that the Register will not preclude other Pharmacist positions being advertised if warranted.

Salary: $69,117 - $104,493 per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professions Unions Wages Agreement No.
2 of 2022.

Position Features: Pharmacists will work at any site within Pharmacy Services or at specified locations of other nominated health providers such as Mental Health Services within the region in which the incumbent is employed.
The occupant of this role may be required to participate in weekend and on-call services.
