Salary: $53 – $57 per hour + Relocation Bonus + Accommodation
About the Company Brand's Pharmacy Services own and operate numerous private pharmacies within Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia. Across our pharmacy group, we employ 150+ staff and offer a wide range of specialist services across community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, wholesale supply, and compounding/manufacture.
About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest from pharmacists interested in taking on a leadership role within our pharmacy team at the Mater Mackay Hospital. This site has 105 beds across 4 wards including medical, surgical, maternity, and high dependency. There are also theatre and emergency departments.
The position involves:
Undertaking clinical ward rounds and completion of patient chart reviews Performing medication reconciliations for new patient admissions Conducting medicine reviews for patients identified as high-risk Facilitating inpatient supply and compiling patient medication summaries and counselling for patients on discharge Participation in patient-education sessions and scheduled nurse in-services Supervision of pharmacy technician staff Prior experience in a similar hospital role is preferred (but not essential). Community pharmacists looking to move into a hospital setting are welcome to apply.
Our current Pharmacist-in-Charge will be available in coming months for full training and handover. We are seeking applicants available to start by early January 2025.
The successful applicant will:
Hold relevant AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance Possess well-developed communication skills and have the ability to build rapport and maintain strong professional relationships Be willing to comply with all pharmacy group policies & procedures (including clinical services and medicine supply to the Mater Hospital) Aim to achieve the highest level of customer service at all times and complete the professional responsibilities of the role in an accurate and efficient manner Salary Package: The salary package on offer will be $150k+ per annum, consisting of $110-118k salary plus superannuation (11.5%), plus relocation/sign-on bonus ($10-15k), with accommodation supplied (est. $20-25k per year). Annual bonuses will also be made available.
