The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role: Site engineer purpose includes inspecting and installing equipment and new technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research, and reporting on project status.
Site engineers will make sure that everything works smoothly, and engineering designs are being followed.
Inspect infrastructure and conduct research on site in order to solve problems.
Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor's Degree in Engineering White Card Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works Experience in technical aspects of site projects, including machinery and equipment Experience in civil and structural technical engineering Experience in interpreting technical schedules and documentation Experience in Contract comprehension Required Competencies: Process oriented, able to analyse complex issues Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels Sound interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively Ability to work to deadlines and targets and prioritise tasks under pressure Strong Initiative and proactive nature Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Well-developed time management skills High attention to detail Competent and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word. Ability to learn and use different software systems such as E7 Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Conducting research on site Inspecting equipment and technologies Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues Conduct research and studies on site Manage field activities and implement engineering designs Diagnose construction or machinery problems Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise Oversee repairs and technical improvements Install new systems and technology Inspect and test material and machinery for safety Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment Supervise and direct onsite crew (e.g.
