Sante Recruitment on behalf of Sante by Ramberg Recruitment – Melbourne VIC Service Medical Registrar opportunities offer rotations through General Medicine departments (including long stay and acute units) and various medical specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Haematology, Infectious Diseases, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Stroke; the ALERT prevention of deterioration service, and multiple transplant services (including cardiac, lung, renal); these roles provide a broad mix of opportunities and experiences.Emergency Medical Registrar opportunities offer roles offer a broad range of case load experiences in our adult/paediatric service, roster flexibility, training opportunities and great consultant support.The Emergency Departments currently sees over 170,000 patients per annum with 25% paediatric presentations. The admission rate is about 40%, with high acuity presentations.There are currently 45 consultants working in the Emergency Department across all sites including 3 ACEM examiners.The department of Emergency Medicine has a strong educational program and is accredited by ACEM for 2 years of Advanced Vocational training.The emergency department manages approximately 60 000 patient presentations per annum and is accredited for 12 months for both provisional and advanced training with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).Lots of shifts in the dedicated paediatric area and working towards completion of the paediatric logbook and new ACEM fellows.A PEM consultant and others working part-time in tertiary centres, several of our group have special interests in pre-hospital/retrieval (LifeFlight), ultrasound (CCPU), medical education/simulation, rural/remote medicine (ACRRM) and geriatrics.We are seeking a ED registrar to commence asap for a 12 months fixed term role.The Hospital:The Emergency dept is friendly, well-organised, departments are the front door to the Hospitals and are well equipped to cope with trauma, cardiac and medical emergencies and minor surgery. Rostering is such that junior staff have ready access to a Principal House Officer (PHO) on the same shift and the Principal House Officer has access to advice from a Senior Medical Officer on that shift. PHO's have ready access to advice from the specialist Consultant on call and Specialist Principal House Officers and Registrars. The Emergency Department roster is very popular.
