Operating within the Petroleum Assessment Hub, you will be involved in tenures management and assessment for petroleum and gas exploration and production across Queensland.

About the role: Interpret and Apply Legislation: Use your expertise in legislation to resolve issues surrounding petroleum, geothermal, and greenhouse gas tenure administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Decision-Making Processes: Leverage your understanding of decision-making principles to assess petroleum, geothermal, and greenhouse gas tenures, ensuring informed decisions.Support the Petroleum Assessment Hub: Provide administrative support to the team, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the hub's objectives.Engage with Stakeholders: Advise and provide detailed information on exploration and production activities to clients, industry leaders, and stakeholders, building strong relationships.Collaborate with Industry and Government: Work with industry representatives, legal teams, departments, and agencies to ensure effective communication on tenure matters.Prepare Impactful Communications: Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, and submissions, and assist in responding to Ministerial and parliamentary inquiries, contributing to decision-making.Provide Strategic Advice: Offer timely recommendations on strategies and operational matters that enhance the effectiveness of the Petroleum Assessment Hub.Contribute to Operational Planning: Collaborate in developing and refining the operational plan for the Petroleum Assessment Hub, ensuring alignment with objectives.Embrace Challenges: Take on additional duties as required, gaining exposure to various aspects of the role and contributing to the team's success.Why join us?
