The role: ACH Group is seeking experienced and flexible personal trainer to provide personal training to older people on a part time basis at Christie Downs, working Wednesday to Friday 8am-4pm. Make a difference to the lives of older people through your ability to identify and develop meaningful and engaging personal training activities, which have a strong focus on reducing the incidence and impact of chronic disease. You will help customers to be healthy and fulfilled through personal training and gym activities that increase social interaction, function, and overall quality of life. What you'll do: Work collaboratively to set, and support customers to reach their fitness and health goals and plan appropriate activities Develop strategies, activities and programs which engage and empower older people Facilitate individual and group exercise activities as outlined by the Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist Work as part of a multidisciplinary team Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including allied health professionals, advisors and customer's family or carers (where appropriate) to support customers Contribute and support ACH Group and the wider health team as a leader and promoter of Healthy and Active Ageing About You! You are a talented and passionate Personal Trainer. You want to make the most of your expertise, do what you do best and thrive on the challenge of providing our customers with quality care. You will have demonstrated experience working as a Personal Trainer and preferably working with older people Skills to motivate and engage individuals and enhance & develop abilities, skills, and interests Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Applicants who also hold a Certificate III in Aged Care will be highly regarded Applicants who also hold Tai Chi Instructor Training will be highly regarded You will need: Certificate IV in Personal Training COVID-19 vaccinations (at least 3) A satisfactory police clearance for working with vulnerable groups less than 12 months old before commencement To care about supporting older people to live a Good Life.
