This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in community care or nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality care to veterans and their families.
This role can include afternoon and morning shifts, night shift, and weekends.Pay: $38-70 per hourKey responsibilities include:Providing personal care and assistance to clients in their homes with activities of daily living, such as showering, dressing, and grooming.Assisting with the prompting of medication.Providing emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care provided.Adhering to infection control and occupational health and safety policies and procedures.Monitoring clients for changes or concerns in their health, wellbeing, and behavior, and reporting appropriately to our Clinical Team.Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.To be successful in this role, you will have:A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Health Services, Individual Support, or a related field.A current First Aid and CPR certificate.Experience working in the healthcare/support industry is highly regarded.A compassionate, kind, and caring approach to working with clients and their families.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving and time management skills.A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.In return, we offer a supportive and flexible working environment, competitive wages and benefits, and opportunities for career progression and professional development.
