The Role:Karingal, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Devonport, Victoria, is actively welcoming new residents and is offering Casual opportunities for Personal Care Assistants. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends for morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
Responsibilities:Listen to consumers and understand what is important to them and support them to achieve their goalsFollowing the care plan, work to a planned schedule under the direction of a registered nurse.Record consumer outcomes into the appropriate Baptcare recordsParticipate in the continuous improvement cycle at the homeBuild relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders with the goal of improving life for consumers in careReport workplace risks to managementReport consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviors or actions not aligned to our valuesAttend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skillEssential QualificationsMinimum Certificate III in Aged CareMinimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facilityBe customer focused with a passion for working in Aged CareHave excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitudeA proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a teamIf you have a true passion for caring for the elderly and ensuring their wellbeing and daily lifestyle needs are met, we would love to hear from you!What's it for You?Baptcare is focused on living our values, not just talking about them.
