Our Lady Of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a proud and independent Not-For-Profit organisation housing up to 300 elderly residents based in Rooty Hill in Sydney's Western Suburbs.
We also provide home care services to up to 2000 elderly residents across the Sydney Metro Region assisting them to remain in their homes for longer.
Our focus is on helping the elderly to be as active and able as they can be, regardless of their underlying health conditions.
The Role This position will support frail elderly people and elderly people in an attractive, supportive residential aged care setting.
We are looking for people who are able to work a minimum of three shifts a week and have some flexibility to work across a range shifts on a permanent part-time basis from Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities: Provide the highest quality of resident care and support in accordance with individual care plansEncouraging independence, upholding customers dignity, and support their right of choice.Assist with daily living according to assessed needs including toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene and other tasks as directed by the Manager of the unitEnsuring meals are served to residents at the appropriate time and temperature and uneaten meals are reportedAssisting with resident mobility focusing on safety and comfortIdentifying and reporting any issues or concerns to the Manager of the unitStrong focus on resident wellbeing and be able to adapt your work practices to a range of resident needsDemonstrated experience working with elderly people is preferableHave a genuine interested in adding value to residents on a daily basisResilient, quick thinking, and demonstrated problem solving abilityStrong focus on honesty, integrity and working independentlyPlease note the successful applicant must be willing to undergo a Criminal History Check and have three (3) Covid injections documented by the time of commencement.
