Job Description: As a Home Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Your primary responsibilities will include: Personal Care:
Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
Mobility Support:
Helping clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking, and positioning.
Medication Assistance:
Prompting prescribed medication administration and monitoring health conditions as directed.
Companionship:
Providing emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversation, and participating in activities to enhance the client's quality of life.
Household Tasks:
Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in a personal care role or similar environment is essential.
Education:
Certification III or IV Aged Care or equivalent.
Preferred Skills Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring clients.
Other Requirements:
