Personal Care Worker - Home Care, KatherineAbout the role We have a new opportunity for a qualified Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team in Katherine, NT on a Full-Time basis working a Monday - Friday roster.
Your role as Personal Care Worker will see you traveling to people's homes and providing care and support within the consumer's home environment, undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, showering, mobility, and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience in either Aged or Disability care. You will be comfortable traveling to people's homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle. You will have a caring and understanding approach, whilst also able to understand a client's care-plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy traveling to people's homes and providing a service with a strong customer service attitude and respect.

Skills & experience: To be considered for this role, we do ask that you submit your resume and cover letter addressing the following requirements:
Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability, or Home and Community Care.Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting, preferably, however, not essential.Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.Personal registered and insured vehicle.ARRCS mandatory compliance: It is mandatory for all ARRCS employees to have the below prior to their commencement: You must have or have lodged a National Police Check within the last 3 months.Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination.NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.Our staff and volunteers are compassionate and knowledgeable members of the local community, who are committed to providing personalized care and support.
