About the opportunity At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Personal Care Assistant, you'll create cherished moments each day.
The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for all primary care needs of our residents including ADL care, provision of meals, assist to attend activities.
This role will contribute to a successful and sustainable care culture at our residential aged care home.
Providing care and support to our residents using a person-centred approach.
To provide accurate and timely documentation relevant to resident care To work in consultation with other staff to provide relevant and timely information required for assessment and classification.
To provide care to residents in accordance with care plans, Aged Care Standards and policies and procedures of Mercy Health Participation in the quality process.
Promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents by partnering with residents to be involved in the meaningful activities.
Undertake care and documentation to the highest standard.

Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.
To thrive in this role, you will have: Previous experience in Aged Care is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Previous experience in cooking or working in a hospitality environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
