We are seeking experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our compassionate care team on a casual basis, helping to cover the upcoming holiday season and planned annual leave. Respect also has home care services in multiple states and more than 700 units in different retirement villages and independent living communities.
The Position: The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for providing competent personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.
Key Duties: Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.Record observations on relevant assessment charts and document any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and report such to the EN/RN.Check residents' daily menu requirements.Attend to duties as allocated and/or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.Essential: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).Relevant Certificate III Qualification.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Experience in residential aged care.Must be available for night shift.To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
