The position: The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for providing competent personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.Check residents' daily menu requirements.Attend to duties as allocated and/or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.Any other task not defined but within the employee's skills, as directed by the organisation.Essential: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).Relevant Certificate III Qualification.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Desirable: Experience in residential aged care.To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
