The position of the PCA/HL is a higher duties role of a Personal Care Assistant. The PCA/HL acts as a point person in the house of assignment whilst major fulfilling the role of a personal care assistant. Annual salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 relevant to their qualifications and demonstrated experience.ScheduleShift workWeekend availabilityQualifications & ExperienceMinimum Certificate III equivalent in Individual Support or related disability support/community service. Diploma equivalent degree is desirable.Minimum 1-year Personal Care experience in a disability sector.Current First Aid CertificateUnrestricted Driver's LicenseCleared NDIS Worker ScreeningCleared Police Check.Key ResponsibilitiesService ProvisionSupport client engagement in community activities which will enhance quality of life through the provision of person-centric care.Rapport and relationship building with clients so that they will be more engaged in a range of educational and recreational activities.Work cooperatively with the coordinator of services in developing effective communication and productive relationship with clients.Provision of care in line with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Code of Conduct and in compliance with the NDIS quality and safeguard commission.Supervise or provide a wide range of personal care services to clients under limited supervision either individually or as part of a team of the part of the delivery of disability services.Support clients' goals and aspirations whilst maintaining an environment free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other misconduct.CollaborationWork with relevant team to develop person-centred approach for clients.Participate in case reviews to determine the needs and wellbeing of the client.Attend staff meetings, operations meetings, and other relevant stakeholders meetings as required.Record Keeping And Administrative TaskMonitor clients' wellbeing and progress reporting.Perform administrative duties.Regular house audit reporting and compliance to any other report required.Team ManagementSupervise disability support workers (DSW) to ensure clients are provided with support and service that are in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct, quality and safety, and relevant company policies and procedure.Regular coaching and feedback to DSW in the team.Promptness in coaching PCA when required to ensure support is given immediate or if performance or behavior needs to be managed as soon as possible.Summary Of Role RequirementsLooking for candidates available to work:Monday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningTuesday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningWednesday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningThursday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningFriday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningSaturday: Morning, Afternoon, EveningSunday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening1 year of relevant work experience required for this role.Working rights required for this role.Expected salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
