We are committed to the pursuit of social justice. We are currently seeking a Personal Assistant/Paralegal in our dedicated Brisbane CBD team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Responsibilities Working with our solicitors to successfully support them with day-to-day operations of files/client management across personal injury files but mainly workers compensation.Preparing and completing dictation with high attention to detail.Preparing matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence.Using your high attention to detail to draft briefs, letters, and other documents, such as claim forms and schedule of damages.Efficiently coordinating medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations.Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.Supporting our Legal team with optimising the use of internal systems to process information.The Skills Previous experience in a similar personal assistant and/or paralegal position.Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills.Keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills.You'll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.You'll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support our clients.Organisational skills including management of author's diary and travel itinerary.The ability to work 38 hours per week, from the office, between the hours of 8:15am – 5pm Monday to Friday.What We OfferWe have cemented a reputation that is second to none for providing excellent legal services and we have represented our clients on some of the country's most interesting and challenging issues at all levels of the justice system, including a number of High Court challenges.
