Location: Darwin, Australia Reference: 6677285 Salary: $81,784.36 per year plus 11.5% superannuation About the Opportunity:An opportunity has become available to join the Technical Services team as a Permits Officer in a permanent capacity, to start immediately.
If successful, you will play an important function in the Innovation Hub as the role will ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of private and public construction works within City of Darwin controlled land, including road reserves and public open space, through liaison with internal teams.
You will also provide customer support in the development of works permit applications and to approve works permits in line with Council's standards and expectations.
About YOU:We are looking for a person to join a small team.
You will have excellent customer service skills, construction knowledge, and WHS awareness.
You will be comfortable working across hubs/teams, with people from the organisation but also with external stakeholders across the municipality.
You will be able to go in the field for audits and be thorough with rules and legislations.
