UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey About the role The UGL PTW Supervisor is responsible for coordination of all permit-to-work (PTW) requests as required to undertake work within a UGL commissioning zone. The role includes the following duties:
Work with the CPBJH JV Permit Authority to establish an integrated JV-UGL permit team.Interface and coordinate with Construction and Commissioning Supervisors to ensure proposed work within a Commissioning Zone does not conflict with other work activities and is covered by the appropriate permit.Coordinate and direct the UGL permit team personnel (Permit Issuers, Authorised Isolators) ensuring the team oversees and assists with preparation of permits, schedules of boundary isolations and supporting documents, and permits are ready for submission and approval.Coordinate submission of all UGL commissioning permits to work, including commissioning minor works permits, permits to energise and commissioning access permits for outstanding construction works within a commissioning zone.Attend (or delegate) attendance to the daily PTW coordination meetings.Understand and be familiar with the CPBJH JV Isolations, Energisation and PTW procedures and forms - Ensure UGL personnel compliance with the permit to work process and procedures.About you: 5 years' experience in Construction and Commissioning Supervisor / Lead roles with previous experience as an Isolations / Permit Officer, or similar.Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Permit to Work and Isolation / Tagging systems and applicable legislation.Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in related industry discipline - Mechanical or Electrical.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Email.Why Unite with the Very Best A competitive salary working in a rewarding, supportive and successful team.Flexible and blended work environment; make use of leave, flexible working and our 16 weeks paid primary parental leave options.Help create your Individual Development Plan and create significant opportunities for your professional development.A rewarding Wellness Program with AIA Vitality – earn cashback for gym shoes!We'll give you access to a multitude of rewards: Through our partnerships we can offer you discounts across shopping, food and wine, insurance, health and wellbeing, leisure and entertainment.You can also take advantage of our salary sacrifice options including cars, eligible portable electronic devices and professional memberships.As part of the recruitment process, there are several checks which may be conducted to demonstrate an applicant's suitability for a role including police / criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
