We are seeking a school leader to be accountable for leading the learning at St Michael's through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning.
The Leader of Learning Diversity: -Has a sound knowledge of, and a commitment to, the Mission of the Catholic school and possess relevant Religious Education qualifications.
-Has a high standard of competency and proficiency as a teacher and be familiar with best practice, especially in developing the literacy and numeracy skills of students.
-Demonstrates knowledge of how to use targeted feedback and data to inform teaching and learning in order to create differentiated teaching programs that cater for the needs of all students.
-Mentors and coaches teachers to make appropriate adjustments or interventions for students at the point of need.
-Coordinates the personalised planning process and collaborates with stakeholders on developing personalised plans for students.
-Identifies and coordinates internal and external stakeholders, support services and agencies to respond to the needs of students including providers for diagnostic testing and assessment.
-Oversees the NCCD data collection.
-Leads, communicates and works collaboratively with teams to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate learning.
-Creates and maintains an effective partnership with families and carers to support and improve students' achievement and personal development.
-Is committed to ongoing professional learning as a member of a professional learning community.
-Is willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life.
Typical Experience and Qualifications: Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching   Demonstrated experience working in a leadership position in a school setting Working with Children Check Australian resident or citizen The Organisation Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children.
The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
