Key Responsibilities Take responsibility to ensure all aspects of patient care are of the highest standard.Take a key role in the leadership of the unit, be an accountable and autonomous nurse; act in the best interest of the patient at all times and take personal responsibility for own actions and decisions.Be responsible for patient assessment, planning of care, giving and supervising safe and compassionate care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care.Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and lead peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team, to achieve goals and positive health outcomes.What to bring Recent Clinical experience in perioperative Orthopaedic NursingAHPRA RegistrationAbility to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity and provide Clinical LeadershipDemonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skillsA desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.A desire to share your experiences and participate in the future growth and development of the unit, and assist in the education to staff within the perioperative unit.Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvementsA strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the values of Calvary Healthcare.Ensure the adherence of clinical standards and application of principles of best practice, to maximise high quality patient outcomes.Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.Support the transition of new nurses into the organisation and nursing workforceAssist in identifying and facilitating departmental learning needsProvide hands-on clinical supportProvide feedback on work performanceEnhance nursing professional developmentPromote evidence based practiceAssess clinical competenceWork with the team to achieve goals established by the departmental management teamAbility to work a 6-day rotating roster, and participate in the on-call rosterSupport of NUM in daily operational proceduresWhy Work for Calvary?
