In this pivotal role, you'll take the lead in overseeing the operations of our brand-new Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre.
This is your chance to shape the venue's success and contribute to its vibrant role in the community.The Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre is the first project in a significant Cultural Precinct for the Wollondilly community.
The Centre features a flexible, flat-floor auditorium with retractable seating, an orchestra pit, and a multi-purpose studio.
It is a unique venue in the region, attracting a range of contemporary theatre performances, community and commercial uses.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:University degree qualifications and/or extensive experience in performing arts centre management within a performing arts venue at a senior levelExperience in a leadership role providing direction for performing arts venues to drive utilization and establish connections with the broader arts industryDemonstrated exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all organizational levels and external stakeholdersStrong capabilities in collaboration and relationship building to establish, drive and maintain partnerships with a wide range of external stakeholdersExperience in creating effective relationships with community and commercial hirers and developing a program of activities that cultivates an engaged audienceAbility to plan, organize, set priorities and manage time to achieve objectives within an agreed timeframeDemonstrated high level budget management skills and experiencePlease note, the position is subject to an open spread of hours on a rostered basis and includes after hours, weekend and public holiday work in accordance with the provisions of the Award.Further Information: Michelle Sheehan, Manager Community Services, .Closing Date: 5:00pm Monday, 3 February 2025.Apply Now and let's Make Wollondilly even better, together.To be considered for this position, candidates must apply via Council's website, Wollondilly Employment Opportunities and answer the position-specific selection criteria as listed in this advertisement.Those not addressing the selection criteria will not be considered.Preferred applicants will be required to undertake a pre-placement medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
