As an Autonomous Mining Performance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimising the efficiency and productivity of autonomous mining operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, analyse, and enhance the overall performance of autonomous mine sites by implementing strategic initiatives and recommending process improvements. This role involves working closely with autonomous mining operations teams, management, and other project stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and ensure that operations align with autonomous mining best practices. This role is based at Roy Hill mine site and is an 8/6 roster.

Key Responsibilities of the role: Ensure that performance improvements align with safety regulations and compliance standards. Ensure implementation & compliance with the Code of Practice for Safe mobile Autonomous mining in Western Australia. Collaborate with safety officers to integrate safety measures into operational enhancements. Conduct comprehensive assessments of autonomous mining site operations to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Analyse production output, equipment performance, and workforce efficiency data to determine key performance indicators (KPIs). Evaluate and improve autonomous mining processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and minimise downtime. Identify and recommend technological advancements that positively impact autonomous mining site efficiency. Communicate performance improvement strategies and results to autonomous mining operations, management, and other stakeholders. Foster positive relationships with the product company to leverage resources and expertise. Support the visualisation and submission of Continuous Improvement ideas. Participate in change management, functional safety, and training material development activities. Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to derive actionable insights and make informed recommendations for performance enhancement. Implement monitoring systems to track performance metrics and assess the impact of improvements over time. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, autonomous mining operators, and management, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and coordination of autonomous operations. Develop information and knowledge-sharing sessions for autonomous mining personnel. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of autonomous mining systems. Analyse data and identify opportunities for system optimisation, productivity improvements, and cost savings. Contribute to and plan process and feature deployments, including project plans, system configurations, testing results, training materials, and operational guidelines. Prepare regular reports on project status, key metrics, and lessons learned. Collaborate with stakeholders to define autonomous upgrades' goals, objectives, and deliverables. Actively report and benchmark operational performance against project targets, KPIs and operational baselines. Identify and assess project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement risk management plans, ensuring the successful execution of autonomous mining projects while minimising potential disruptions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for running the Autonomous fleet. Report and address any safety concerns promptly. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in Autonomous mining operations with a focus on performance improvement is desirable. Knowledge of Autonomous mining equipment, technologies, and industry best practices is desirable. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
