About the role
Cricket Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for aPerformance Analyst to join our team. You will work with Cricket Tasmania's Male and Female State Teams, andthe Hobart Hurricanes WBBL and BBL Teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide statistical data to inform team strategy and selection at key time points agreed upon with coaching and HP staff
Define game influencing KPI's to maximise performance
Present analysis of opposition teams and individual players to coaches and players
Provide in-game feedback to players and coaching staff
Develop robust post-match/competition reports to influence player development plans
Manage & oversee the provision of statistical data to inform team strategy and selection
Run data driven projects to help bring greater context to decision making
Provide analytical insights to help inform CT talent ID
Develop and maintain comprehensive databases encapsulating all multi-disciplinary areas of cricket performance
About you:
You will have a minimum of two years relevant experience (Data Science/Performance Analysis) working with elite athletes or teams
You have experience and competence using computer-based systems to perform statistical modelling, predictive analytics or machine learning processes (Python, R, C++, SPSS, Power BI)
You can provide evidence of working with Head Coaches in multiple performance settings
You have strong cricket knowledge
You have knowledge of Athlete Managing Systems
You have experience working with large data sets and data visualisations
You will have a proven ability to create player scouting documents.
You have a high level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
You are Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
