We have been retained exclusively to represent a leading multi-disciplinary construction company with extensive experience across major projects in both private and government project sectors.
They have developed the ability to scale their resources and are able to adapt to meet the many different market opportunities encountered over the past 40 years – (Projects from $20M to $700M+) . From the early days of building in the remotest parts of Australia, their project portfolio now spans across the country covering all sectors and industries of the economy.
An opportunity has now presented for a highly competent People & Culture professional to play a key role in ensuring best practice processes and policies are implemented and adhered.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain a healthy positive workplace culture aligned to the business's values.
Provide strategic and pragmatic HR advice and guidance to the business on employee relations, change management, high performance mentoring, tracking and management and other matters which may include advice on relevant policy/practices, legislation and the Sitzler Certified Agreement.
Manage cyclical and ongoing HR activities and drive uptake including performance review, employee health and wellbeing initiatives, reward and recognition programs, engagement surveys.
Manage and support end-to-end talent acquisition including talent attraction, onboarding, probation and performance review and management.
Provide guidance and coaching to senior management relating to employee engagement, performance management, career development, talent assessment and retention.
Provide support to employees and management.
Develop effective professional relationships with leaders.
Proactively contribute to the identification and design of people-related business improvement initiatives as requested by the Directors and General Manager.
Develop, lead and implement small to medium size projects, as identified and approved by the General Manager and supported by the HR Manager.
The successful candidate will form part of the Executive Leadership Team and be required to lead People & Culture across the business incorporating all offices across the country. The capacity and enthusiasm to embrace spasmodic travel to these offices is critical.
To be considered you will be a well-regarded People and Culture Executive with 10+ years' experience and whose expertise lies in the development and execution of human resources strategies, initiatives and processes that directly support an organization's achievement of its strategic objectives.
Drawing on your experience, you will apply a commercial lens to people solutions and be able to demonstrate competence covering areas such as workforce planning and talent acquisition, leadership and capability development, remuneration and reward frameworks, employee succession planning and retention, and employee experience and engagement enhancement.
Your leadership style will be authentic and energetic, and you will demonstrate successfully establishing respectful and productive relationships with key stakeholders and form being a dependable source of support and strategic insight for both the GM and members of the executive leadership team.
