About the Role
To provide generalist human resources guidance and information in relation to People & Performance matters and carry out tasks which support the delivery of People Plan.
These tasks will predominantly be People & Performance issues, processes and procedures.
Full-time 12 month maternity leave contractBased 2 days at Monarto Safari ParkFull Collaborative and positive cultureContributing to exciting growth and ongoing projectsKey Responsibilities Collaborate with the Director of People & PerformanceProvide first-line management support, delivering efficient and effective People & Performance services, including industrial relations, training and development, equal opportunity, and workplace health and safety (WHS)Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, Collective Agreements, and Awards, ensuring compliance and timely reportingPrepare and manage secure personnel records and maintain accuracy in all People & Performance-related dataFacilitate clear communication among management, staff, and external parties as requiredAssist in policy development, implementation, and monitoring to align with Zoos SA's strategic objectivesAssist in the development and maintenance of the Zoos SA collective agreement, remuneration strategies, salaried contracts and associated negotiations.Provide first line management with the efficient and effective People & Performance services, including industrial relations, training and development, equal opportunity, workplace health and safetySupport the preparation of statistical analysis and reports for People & Performance functionsAssist line managers with job descriptions, career progression, and classification guidanceProvide ongoing support for employee and industrial relations, including learning and development initiatives and WHSManage updates to employee contracts and ensure the accuracy of all contractual changesOversee service award information and assist with annual Service Award Night preparationsSkills & Experience Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, including discretion and confidentialityDemonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to interpret legal documents and dataHighly developed organisational and administrative skillsWell-developed computer literacy skills within the Microsoft Office environmentMaintains a pleasant disposition even when under pressureAccurate and thorough, with an eye for detailInvolvement in the establishment of team goals and objectives and actively contributes to the achievement of theseAbility to:
- work with a wide range of people and levels of staff
- communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and to work closely with others in a team environment
