People Partner (Recruitment & Engagement) BCR Communities is an award-winning not-for-profit community services and aged care provider in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with skills in proactive talent sourcing and engagement strategies to join our People & Culture team on a full-time continuing basis.
The People Partner for recruitment and engagement will be responsible for managing and delivering end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities across BCR. This role will lead the development and implementation of recruitment initiatives to support the attraction, selection, and onboarding of talent that meets the organisation's skills, experience, and cultural fit needs. The successful applicant will be instrumental in building a sustainable and engaged paid and volunteer workforce that aligns with BCR's strategic goals and values.
The role includes creating recruitment strategies, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and providing timely and accurate resourcing advice in relation to both paid and volunteer roles in the organisation. The People Partner will ensure an exceptional candidate experience follows from an applicant's very first interaction right through to onboarding and beyond, helping to implement workforce retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Support hiring managers to ensure people and talent needs across our organisation are adequately forecast to support growth and new services or programs. Design and implement strategic initiatives to attract and retain high-quality candidates. Effectively manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process from job advertisements to offers of employment, ensuring an efficient and seamless candidate experience. Collaborate with marketing to promote BCR as an employer of choice, leveraging recruitment marketing strategies to attract diverse and skilled candidates. Develop and coordinate market mapping and industry intelligence to inform recruitment decisions. Maintain talent pools and proactively identify and approach potential candidates through platforms like Seek, LinkedIn, and industry-specific forums. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to customer service by providing timely, consistent, and accurate advice on resourcing queries. Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, templates, and procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and candidate experience. Support relevant projects and activities to enhance employee and volunteer recognition and engagement. Coordinate employee and volunteer surveys, measure and report on key talent metrics. Support the People & Culture Manager and other team members with strategic projects and initiatives. About You: The successful candidate for this opportunity will have:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. In-depth knowledge of candidate selection and sourcing methods, preferably in the community or health sector. Experience in developing recruitment strategies and producing recruitment materials. At least 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment. Experience in talent mapping, market intelligence, and proactive candidate sourcing through various platforms (Seek, LinkedIn, etc.). Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance strategic partnerships and networks with key stakeholders, including industry associations, government departments, NGOs, and businesses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including high-level negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive data analysis and reports.
