John Holland has recently been announced as the preferred partner to deliver the Inland Rail, Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) works in NSW, and we are seeking people interested in being part of the team that will deliver this critical project.
About Inland Rail
Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.
This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries, and communities.
The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai.
This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.
What is needed?
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to work on our newly awarded Illabo to Stockinbingal project (I2S) willing to explore a new opportunity in regional NSW.
Key Responsibilities include: Support all aspects of project mobilisation including establishing project-based people-related processes and procedures, driving and managing project resourcing and onboarding, along with embedding best practice people solutions on the project.Build and lead a team of dedicated project-based People resources across social procurement, workforce development, and training.Provide strategic People leadership as part of the project management team.Coach and guide managers through all people-related matters balancing best project outcomes and employee experience.Partner closely with the broader People Teams across all joint venture partners, including COEs to help support cyclical People processes.Develop innovative initiatives and influence project stakeholders to increase local, Indigenous, female, and new entrant participation on the project.Lead all project People activities including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, performance and development, remuneration reviews, training, and project lifecycle initiatives.Live and breathe the John Holland values of Care, Future Focused, Empowering, and Imaginative.To be successful you will have: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.Demonstrated experience providing strategic People leadership at a senior level across all aspects of the employee life cycle and People disciplines.Demonstrated experience in EA negotiations and IR matters.Strong leadership skills with the ability to create effective teams with a strong focus on delivering outcomes.Ability to influence, negotiate, delegate, and make decisions that result in the desired outcome.Project-based experience is preferable but not essential.About you: Willing to FIFO/DIDO to remote locations in NSW.Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off).Willing to relocate yourself within an hour's commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
