Shared Services are seeking a People & Culture Partner to join our team on a temporary full-time basis, covering a period of maternity leave. Based in Newcastle West, you'll work in our newly renovated office, complete with a convenient onsite café, all within a supportive and professional environment.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to act as a trusted business partner to line managers, providing expert advice and embedding HR strategies that deliver real value. You'll guide and support stakeholders across a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, workforce planning, and change management, while identifying opportunities to enhance organisational capabilities and culture.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a proven ability to advise, influence, and coach stakeholders at all levels. Your solid working knowledge of HR practices, emerging trends, and ER/IR legislation will allow you to deliver practical solutions. Additionally, your strong consulting and negotiating skills, paired with sound business acumen, will enable you to drive impactful outcomes across the organisation.

POSITION DESCRIPTION The purpose of this position is to act as a business partner to line managers by embedding HR strategy and providing professional, commercial and reliable HR guidance and support with the objective of adding value to the business.
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA Current experience in advising, guiding and supporting stakeholders on a broad range of HR matters Ability to engage, inspire, influence, coach and deliver Solid working knowledge of current general HR practices and processes and awareness of emerging trends Sound knowledge of ER/IR legislation and understanding of current employment regulations Strong interpersonal, relationship and customer service skills, well developed verbal and written communication skills Strong consulting and negotiating skills and business acumen Demonstrated understanding of change management and ability to personally adapt to a changing environment QUALIFICATIONS A tertiary qualification in Recruitment and/or Human Resources or a related degree OR strong experience within HR in a customer focused industry Current Class C Driver's License Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) Registered member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) (Desirable) To Apply Please provide a current copy of your Resume and a Cover Letter which addresses the two criterion points below:
