If you're looking for a career with Hyatt, this is an exciting pre-opening opportunity for a part-time People & Culture Officer (one day a week) to join our team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. This role offers the unique chance to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia, with the hotel scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025. Based on site in South Melbourne, the People & Culture Officer is a pivotal role within the hotel operations. Reporting into the General Manager, they are responsible for end-to-end administrative support across a range of P&C functions including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, wellbeing & occupational health and safety.
This is a great opportunity in a pre-opening team for someone who is willing to contribute to successfully setting up the People & Culture department and is enthusiastic about learning/acquiring new skills.
ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end management of the recruitment processAssisting with the onboarding process for new employeesLeading and driving initiatives across the hotel from a local, national and global perspectiveAssist in the fortnightly payroll process as requiredAssist with coordinating P&C projects and eventsProvide P&C advice and assist with query management of the People and Culture functionQualificationsYour background: Completed or currently studying Human Resources or a related qualificationStrong problem-solving and excellent time management skillsAbility to effectively plan, multi-task and prioritize a number of itemsExcellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skillsHyatt House employees enjoy, but are not limited to:
