Clarence River Fishermen's Co-Operative is located along the mighty Clarence River in Northern NSW. We are the largest fishing Co-Operative along the East Coast, supporting the local Commercial fishing fleet within the Region for almost 80 years. Our local seafood products are exceptional and we're seeking an individual who can assist us to grow our business for others to also experience the exceptional products our hardworking, local commercial fishermen deliver to us daily.
The CRFC People and Culture Manager is committed to recruiting and training great talent, providing our team members with an exceptional work experience. As the People and Culture Manager you will create and build modern training initiatives into our business as a core value for a dynamic and adaptable team with a formidable culture. This will be achieved by ensuring our People & Culture strategies, leadership, policies and procedures are in place and aligned to our future business needs.

As People and Culture Manager you will need to be a generalist in HR matters including performance and development, workplace health and safety, wellbeing, engagement, job evaluation, remuneration, recruitment, payroll and employment relations matters.
We are seeking an individual who has a track record in achieving the following key objectives:
Establish, model, and reinforce the principles of a collaborative workplace Creating a formidable culture across our organisation Provide direction and support for our team to achieve established CRFC goals and objectives Foster a culture that encourages staff participation, commitment and growth Implement and manage the organisation's HR strategy, policies and procedures Create and implement training programs that add value to the organisation and our people Implementation of technology-based solutions across multiple sites Reporting to the Business Finance Manager, this role is ideally suited to a candidate with demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, superior decision-making skills, problem-solving and mediation skills. A genuine team leader who has the ability to delegate responsibilities, organise multiple retail sites, ensuring our team is well trained and supported.
We need our People & Culture Manager to:
Provide authentic leadership that mirrors the organisations' agreed behaviours and demonstrate it to the organisation. Manage a diverse and complex program of activities within tight timeframes, maintaining the active support and collaboration of stakeholders, providing authoritative advice/recommendations with specialist knowledge incl relevant legislation and policies. Leading through a culture of communication, training and creating opportunity. Ensure all employees are trained and confident in their respective roles. Ensuring sufficient training, education and a positive culture are embodied in the organisation. Ensuring employee's remuneration is consistent with the organisation's policies and follows a fair and equitable moderation process and in compliance with relevant Awards. Responsible for the performance of the organisations Workplace Health and Safety program. Implement technology based, pragmatic WHS strategies, training and a high level of safety compliance. Possess strong computer literacy and has the ability to introduce technology-based solutions to drive efficiencies and improved communication across the business. Our preference would be a candidate located close to our Head Office in Maclean NSW, however for the right individual with the proven career achievements, location is not the primary driver in our search for the successful candidate. A salary package is negotiable based on experience and what the potential candidate can deliver to enhance our team.
