The Opportunity:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Manager to lead and inspire our HR team, driving positive culture, workforce engagement, and effective people management strategies.

With a solid background in people and culture management and ER/IR management, you bring a strategic approach to fostering an inclusive and high-performing environment.
Your leadership style is collaborative and empowering, and you are skilled at building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the negotiation of our enterprise agreements, working closely with unions, employee representatives, and senior leadership to ensure outcomes that align with both legal compliance and business strategy.
Your expertise in industrial relations and project management will be critical in delivering successful negotiation outcomes that support a high-performance culture and organisational sustainability.You are proactive, solutions-driven, and deeply committed to the wellbeing of employees, understanding that a supportive culture is key to organisational success.You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
Your experience in change management, talent development, and compliance ensures you can navigate the challenges of a dynamic workplace.Ideally, you have worked in aged care, health, or a similar sector, and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a mission that enhances the lives of others.
You are excited to join Southern Cross Care, where your values align with an organisation that prioritises care, community, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives, including EA negotiations IR/ER relations.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, diversity, and inclusion.Provide expert advice and support to managers and staff on HR policies, performance management, and employee relations.Drive employee development programs, succession planning, and leadership initiatives to foster a high-performing workforce.Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organisational policies.Collaborate with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture that reflects the values of Southern Cross Care.Lead workforce planning, and monitor staff wellbeing initiatives to promote work-life balance.Manage the delivery of the health and safety program, ensuring a proactive and safe workplace environment.Oversee payroll functions and manage HR systems to improve efficiency and reporting.What You Bring:A strong background in human resources management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.Proven experience in driving organisational culture and change management initiatives.Knowledge and experience in HR legislation, workforce planning, and industrial relations.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Passion for fostering a positive workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience in the aged care or health sector (desirable).What's on OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.The opportunity to be a part of a significant and all-encompassing organisational transformation program.Salary packaging of up to $18,900 per annum tax free.Opportunity to access Novated Leasing.Free onsite parking.Learning and development opportunities.Employee Assistance Program.Purchased Leave.Discounted Private Health Insurance.About UsSouthern Cross Care Tasmania is an aged care provider in Tasmania and has properties in almost every region, providing care in residential facilities, lifestyle villages, and in the home.
