About the role As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will work closely with a supportive, energetic, and passionate P&C team.
Your key client group will see you collaborating with Council's City Assets directorate, working with various teams including Roads & Traffic, Open Space, Building Services & Fleet, and more.
You will focus on aligning Council's business objectives with employees and the management team and provide guidance on P&C matters, support recruitment activities, and continue to drive the positive one-team culture and employee/employer relationship.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): Provision of practical advice and support to management and staff on operational P&C matters including recruitment, interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, awards, contracts and exit interviews Support P&C functions with execution of generalist P&C activities  Coordinate the performance review process for the organisation Raise requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with requisition practices Participate in wider P&C projects, taking responsibility and accountability for the tasks assigned to this role from each project  Carry out additional tasks within your skill set as assigned by the Coordinator, P&C Operations Desired Skills and Qualifications We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in human resources and demonstrated ability to influence and consult with all levels across Council.
You will have:  Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline with demonstrated industry experience Ability to provide guidance & support to management on the resolution of complex disciplinary and industrial relations matters Ability to interpret and implement policies and contracts An understanding of Local Government employment legislation, preferred.
