About the Role Located at our Head Office in Elermore Vale, the People and Culture Business Partner will provide operational support, expert advice, and consultation to foster a culture of knowledge, confidence, and productivity across our organisation. This role will empower our teams to perform at their best while meeting business needs.
In this full-time position, you'll play a key role in ensuring our people practices align with our long-term business objectives and company culture.
Please note: This role will commence on 7th January 2025.
Successful applicants should be able to confidently:
Partner with operations leaders to develop and deliver high-quality HR strategies and solutions to support operational objectives. Provide expert generalist HR advice and management to support the employee lifecycle, including guidance on best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workplace legislation. Collaborate with leaders to assess people risks and implement mitigation strategies, particularly in relation to employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) issues. Provide coaching and guidance on complex HR issues and conduct internal investigations when necessary. Lead end-to-end recruitment processes in collaboration with the People and Culture Coordinator and Administrator. Work alongside the People and Culture Manager to develop and implement an internal succession plan for key operational and strategic roles to ensure business continuity. Manage injury and return-to-work (RTW) cases with the Work Health Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner and prepare documentation for any required audits. Champion and support wellbeing activities and events, including engaging with the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Facilitate performance review processes and assist leaders in fostering development opportunities for their teams. Support the People and Culture Manager in designing and executing organisational development projects focused on enhancing employee engagement, culture, diversity, and inclusion. Lead initiatives to improve the employee experience, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace that aligns with organisational values and goals. Provide comprehensive guidance on People and Culture policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and clarity for employees and supervisors. About You • You already live by the values of Inclusion, Integrity and Innovation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• Five years experience as a People and Culture Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or in a similar strategic HR role.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and organizational development.
• Experience in talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational change.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with tact and empathy.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Atwea College requires: • Valid NSW Working With Children Check and current National Criminal Police Record Check prior to the commencement of employment.
• Child Protection Training and other ongoing legislative training as required, once employed.
