YMCA Corporate Services team are recruiting an experienced People and Culture Business Partner on a 12 month Fixed-Term, Part-Time (3 days a week) basis to join our team in 2025 based in Fortitude Valley.
What will my time look like?Partner with Leaders providing People and Culture advice and solutions on a broad range of generalist People and Culture activities and IR matters in line with policies, procedures, relevant legislation and applicable industrial instruments.Provide sound advice and input on employment relations workforce matters, options and best practice solutions that will support organisational requirements and minimise risk.Lead workplace investigations, performance improvement and disciplinary processes.Partner with Group Managers and provide expert advice and support in relation to significant workplace changes.Partner with the Learning and Development lead to develop and deliver training as required.Provide support to the Chief People Officer with projects and other operational matters including Enterprise Bargaining Agreements development and negotiations.Support the Talent Acquisition team with talent strategies and ongoing talent acquisition project work.Conduct salary benchmarking and prepare remuneration recommendations and advice for senior management.Review and develop People and Culture policies and procedures.Assist with People and Culture governance related projects.Promote Y Queensland employee benefits programs and other engagement initiatives.Am I a good match?At least 2 to 3 years' experience in a People and Culture Business Partner role in a medium-to-large organisation.Degree qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline.A comprehensive working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and other employment related legislative and regulatory obligations.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply acts, Enterprise Agreements, awards and other industrial and legal instruments.Demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Demonstrated ability to support a culture of continuous improvement.Currently possess or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.What's in it for you?We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where your contributions will make a significant impact.
