For our Support Office located at Sydney International Airport, we are looking for a People & Business Partner. As a People & Business Partner, you will be an ambassador for Heinemann Oceania's position in the market by proactively partnering with our Operational Leaders in the business and supporting in developing our employees to become exceptional salespeople. You will develop, lead, and execute People & Culture initiatives that will support our employees across the entire employee lifecycle as well as communicate our unique point of difference in the market; attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining our talent. You will lead by example, demonstrating a human-centric approach to all situations, whereby people and growth initiatives are at the core of everything you do.
Your new job includes:Partner with business unit leaders to develop a thorough understanding of their challenges from a People & Culture perspective by providing sound guidance in an advisory capacity in the areas of performance management, Industrial Relations, and Employee Relations matters, organizational structure, and case management and support where necessary.Identify and manage business risk through leadership and support during Employee Relations advice, grievance resolution, performance counseling, and formal performance management sessions as required.Act as a trusted adviser and develop robust relationships with Leaders to ensure that both people and business initiatives and strategies are aligned.Work in collaboration with business unit Leaders to identify talent, up-skill leadership capability, and develop our future Leaders in the business.Leading the Altitude program for our Retail team members, including their mid-year and year-end performance reviews.Work in collaboration with Leaders to drive a high-performance culture in our business via building competence, rewarding, and recognizing talent.Proactively manage projects from end to end in order to create efficiencies and new ways of working in our business.Offer Industrial Relations advice to the business and support in any negotiations as required.What you should bring along:Relevant Human Resources tertiary qualifications and solid Human Resources Generalist knowledge, particularly in the facets of Industrial Relations and Employee Relations roles.Return to Work certification.Previous experience in a similar role or environment, preferably within the Hospitality, Retail, or FMCG industry.Sound stakeholder management capability and relationship-building skills.Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation trends and practices.Demonstrated ability to be resourceful, highly organized, exceptional time management skills, and proven success working in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to deliver projects on time.Ability to manage conflicting priorities.Excellent standards of communication across written, verbal, and interpersonal mediums.Experience preparing and hosting training presentations.Substantial and extensive experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing Human Resources strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures to meet strategic and operational objectives.A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service and demonstrated ability to partner with clients in order to deliver people management strategies.Demonstrated leadership capabilities with an ability to deliver strategic and operational advice to support leaders on a wide range of Human Resources and employee relations matters.Strong negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills with a proven ability to build relationships and solve problems creatively, utilizing sound judgment.What you can be excited about:Active feedback culture.Attractive employee discounts.Subsidised parking.Team events.What's your Passion and does this sound like you?
