We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our close-knit team as a Senior Officer People and Learning. In this key role, you will provide strategic guidance, coaching, and advice to our leaders to support the development and high performance of our people. This role will advise on a diverse mix of services across Carpentaria, and you will get the opportunity to help lead best-practice HR thinking while also leading a driven and high performing HR portfolio. The role is broad banded SCHADS Level 5/6 pending skills and experience.
About You Commencing mid-late September, you will report to the Director, People and Learning and ensure the People and Learning team delivers the highest possible standards and compliance to legislation, HR best practice, and ensure that our people strategies are aligned with the organisational goals and needs.
Disability or similar sector-related industry experience is highly valued, coupled with the ability to provide practical advice to support service excellence. You will have a well-developed understanding of employment legislation, practical solutions, and a hands-on approach with a dedicated approach to providing fluid and flexible solutions to enable robust HR practices.
Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders in assigned directorates on a range of People and Learning matters, including workplace issues, grievances, performance management, complex case management, Enterprise Agreement interpretation, data analytics, and policy reviews.Drive the development and implementation of 'best-practice' People and Learning projects, leveraging innovative and collaborative approaches to achieve strategic outcomes.Provide leadership within the People and Learning team, serving as a senior point of escalation for advice and expertise for the People and Learning Administration Officers.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and values.Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasises diversity, equity, and inclusion.Why Work With Us?
