Role mission: As the standalone HR Generalist in Australia, you will operate as a trusted partner to the local leadership team and collaborate with our global People team.
Your focus will be on delivering a proactive and seamless HR service that ensures an exceptional employee experience.
You will balance operational HR requirements with the development and implementation of forward-thinking people initiatives that deliver our global and local priorities.
Responsibilities: Business Partnering:Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and leadership teams, building strong HR foundations and aligning People practices with commercial strategy.Support and mentor leadership teams to ensure effective employee relations, issue resolution, and implementation of HR best practices.Global and Local HR Initiatives:Support the implementation of HR projects and process improvements, driving an exceptional employee experience underpinned by automated and efficient people processes.Collaborate with Marketing and the Global People Team to position the business as an employer of choice through branding initiatives and social media.Organise and manage team events, meetups, and workshops to foster engagement and collaboration, particularly for the Australia team.Facilitate clear and effective communication of HR initiatives across the organization ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.Employee Life-cycle Management:In collaboration with the Global People and Talent teams, oversee end-to-end processes for onboarding, performance management, and offboarding, ensuring a consistent and efficient employee experience.Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle using the HRIS (HiBob), driving efficiency, automation, and accuracy in processes.Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on People-related matters, including policies, procedures, and compliance with local labour laws and regulations.Aligned to CUBE's global approach, ensure a fair, transparent, and effective performance management process, offering training and support to managers to drive full adoption.In line with CUBE's global approach, conduct regular employee feedback surveys to gauge job satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.Payroll and Benefits Administration:Oversee payroll processes, collaborating closely with Finance and outsourced vendors to ensure timely, accurate and error-free payroll.In partnership with Global People Team, oversee employee benefits programs, providing market-specific guidance and exploring opportunities to enhance offerings.Governance and Compliance:Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation within the HR system (HiBob) to ensure legal compliance and data integrity.Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations, including policy updates.What we're looking for: Previous business partnering experience.Comfortable collaborating with managers to drive positive change and continuous improvement.Experience of working in a standalone role within a global matrix would be beneficial.Knowledge and technical skills: Knowledge of HRIS systems.Solid knowledge of market employment law.Strong commercial knowledge.Understand Data Protection and how this applies to their activities.Understand Equal Opportunities and Ethics practices and how this applies to their activities.Technical skills required to use common applications including MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, with advanced knowledge of Word & Excel.
