Boys to the Bush (BttB) is a community-focused not-for-profit that provides early intervention programs to help disengaged young males. Based in Albury, we are dedicated to supporting vulnerable youth and giving them the tools they need to grow into strong, capable men. About the Role
As the People and Culture Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a pivotal member of our executive team, responsible for shaping and executing our people strategy to align with BttB's mission and values. Your role will encompass:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support our organisational goals, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and retention. Team Management: Lead and mentor a dedicated HR team, including an HR Manager and two HR Support Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Learning and Development: Design and oversee programs that promote continuous staff development, ensuring our team possesses the skills and knowledge to support our mission effectively. Organisational Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace environment that reflects our core values, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction. Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations, maintaining best practices in HR policies and procedures. Conflict Resolution: Manage workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and mediation processes to maintain a harmonious work environment. Operational Oversight: Oversee payroll functions and other HR operations as needed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. What We're Looking For Experience: Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector, with a track record of strategic leadership and team development. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop HR teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organisational success.
