An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified People & Culture Manager to join the Corporate Services team at Portland District Health.
The People and Culture Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and overall management of a best practice People & Culture service at Portland District Health. The incumbent works closely with Executive and business leaders, to identify, develop and implement solutions across a range of People & Culture functions including; workforce planning, managing performance, employee and industrial relations, management of the outsourced payroll function, organisational change initiatives, and organisational development. This role requires high levels of initiative and motivation to effectively deliver all aspects of the People and Culture function. In collaboration with the leadership team, this position will develop and implement key change management strategies and services to improve staff and business performance. The role is responsible for working with the leadership team to achieve positive organisational culture that aligns with organisation values and fosters accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
About you: Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline Post graduate qualification in human resources or related discipline Ability to provide strategic, analytical and innovative skills in leading best practice people & culture services Ability to competently interpret and apply employment legislation, industrial instruments and policies in a broad range of situations Advanced computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Experience in negotiation, conflict and problem-solving Leadership experience and knowledge in building relationships with leaders and staff across a complex and diverse organisation Experience in a generalist human resources role Experience in a leadership role in the human resources field About us: Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information.
