Job Description
The People and Culture Manager will play a pivotal role in bringing Mondrian Gold Coast to life by attracting, nurturing, and retaining exceptional talent.
This role is designed for an agent of change with expertise in HR processes, employee engagement, learning and development, performance and talent management.
Your ability to challenge the status quo will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence.
Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will align our People and Culture strategies with the resort's overarching goals.
Serving as a strategic partner to the Departmental Leaders, you will represent the voice of our employees, ensuring their needs and aspirations are at the forefront of our people agenda.
Team Member Relations
Foster a positive and structured work environment which encourages the successful operation of the business, calling upon the necessary processes to deal with disciplinary, grievance and workforce change situations.
Work alongside the departmental leaders to investigate, document and administer corrective action immediately and effectively to reach the mutual goals of the business and the employee in keeping with the company policy and local labour law.
Be the champion of processes to ensure that the leaders understand their role in the process as well as the fair treatment of team members.
Team Member Engagement and Communications
Strive to increase team member engagement by promoting a positive work environment where each team member is informed and proactive about the overall business goals.
Ensure the consistent delivery of business and team member information with transparency so that each team member understands how they contribute to the company's success.
Arrange to have fun at work by facilitating a calendar of team member events including town halls where team members are celebrated and recognised.
Recruitment
Ensure the recruitment of new hires are a fit and match for the Mondrian Brand and understand our ethos and vision.
Ensure they are introduced into the Company through Mondrian's specific onboarding process.
Actively promote and market the Mondrian brand as an "Employer of Choice" through advertising collateral and presentations.
Learning & Talent Development
Ensure each department has adequate Departmental trainers to create a consistent training program in line with the Mondrian Service standards.
Facilitate the Mondrian Onboarding program and maintain compliance in all mandatory training.
Performance Management
Have a transparent development program in place for all front line, supervisory and mid-managerial positions in conjunction with the People & Culture leader and Department Leaders.
Facilitate the performance management cycle from probation reviews, annual performance reviews, development plans as well as on-the-job training.
Qualifications
Educated to bachelor's degree level or beyond, most likely within a business or human resources management related discipline, or experience equivalent.
Prior experience as a Department Head in a large, fast-paced organisation.
Ideally CIPD/AHRI qualified.
3 years prior experience in People and Culture in a similar property ideally in a managerial or senior role.
Must be a highly capable user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Previous working experience in a truly global work environment is essential.
Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
