Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Calvary have an opportunity for a People and Culture Leader to join the team, based in either Canberra or Sydney.
As the People and Culture Manager for Southern NSW and ACT, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialist support to the region.
You will lead a small team and partner with senior leaders on People and Culture matters, particularly employee relations.
We are seeking an individual who excels at managing an operational portfolio, whilst maintaining a keen focus on continuous improvement and balancing risk mitigation.
To excel in this role, you will have strong relationship management skills and value strong service delivery.
Key responsibilities Provide People and Culture advice and support across Hospitals, Aged Care and Home CareEffectively manage a small People and Culture team, delivering exceptional service that demonstrates Calvary's values and a best practice approachAct as a point of escalation for People and Culture matters, conduct case management and deliver on project/program implementationManage system workflows in conjunction with the broader People and Culture teamPro-actively demonstrate and promote physical and psychological safety within the workplaceKeen focus on creating and promoting a positive workplace culture for all employees of Calvary through effective leadership, encourage teamwork and ensure employees have opportunities for career developmentManage reporting requirements for the regional People and Culture team, and undertake analysis of data to effectively partner and inform decision makingLead significant organisational change programs ensuring adherence to industrial instrumentsParticipate in industrial negotiations with Calvary's National Industrial Relations team as requiredManage and provide specialist advice relating to dispute and conflict resolution matters with employees, managers and industrial associationsWork closely with regional Executive teams to interpret employee engagement survey results and develop strategies to address improvement opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships, and drive continuous improvement People and Culture initiativesEnsure positions are properly designed and fully described to align with strategic direction of Calvary, in accordance with Calvary's HR delegation frameworkWhat you bring: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experienceStrong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levelsA passion for driving organisational culture and employee engagementSignificant employee relations skills including experience in the management of disciplinary and grievance processes, a strong understanding in the application of industrial and legislative frameworksDemonstrated significant experience working in a similar role and industry experience preferredDemonstrated experience in leading a team of People and Culture professionals to achieve a high performing and positive team cultureSignificant experience in driving organisation change programs to achieve strategic objectivesWith over 130 years' experience and 18,000 staff and volunteers, we offer an inclusive and welcoming culture where you are valued, drawing on your own strengths, identity and background alongside a team of professionals who care for our patients, residents and clients.
