We plan, develop and deliver key processes and programs, and seek to provide a range of flexible employment practices and working conditions to meet the operational needs of the university, and attract and retain high quality staff.The Opportunity This is an opportunity for a skilled P&C Business Partner to support the delivery of a full range of HR services and play an integral role in continuing efforts to build a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace that encourages and supports its people to deliver their best. Working independently and as part of team this position requires sound project management skills with demonstrated organisation and planning skills combined with the ability to problem solve and analyse critically complex issues. This role will identify and implement innovative yet practical solutions from start to finish in response to challenges impacting the tertiary sector nationally and globally. About YouYou will have experience working as a HR generalist in a large and complex organisation with contemporary HR practices. You have well developed working knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks with the ability to recognise short, medium and long-term people and industrial issues with the skills to formulate and implement solutions. You have sound written communication skills with particular focus on drafting reports and correspondence as you develop and implement workforce planning strategies, requiring the ability to manage a high-volume workload with competing deadlines. You remain confidential at all times and have experience in handling grievance, mediation and dispute resolutions which you approach with an open mind, empathy and understanding and engage your negotiation, research, analytical and problem-solving skills to make sound judgement decisions.
